SPECIFICATIONS:
DIMENSIONS
This machine is approximately 134" in overall length, 80" wide outside, and has an overall height of 116". The height, from the ground to the center of the blower housing, is approximately 52". The height, from the ground to the top of the blower housing, is approximately 72". The total weight of the machine is approximately 4000#.
TRAILER
The main frame is constructed of 4" of 5.4# channel and sheet steel material is 130" in overall length and 79" in overall width. The trailer has 4 semi-elliptical leaf springs with a 3,500# capacity each. The two 6000# straight, tubular axle has a minimum 3” diameter. It is equipped with four steel disc type wheels with Timken tapered roller bearings. The tires are 7:00-15, 4 ply, tubeless type highway tread. The pintle-hook trailer tongue has an adjustable height with manual adjustment from 16" to 32". It is equipped with 3.5" square tubing that is adjustable from 48" to 84" with an eyebolt type drawbar. The 3.5" square drawbar hitch gives the operator the option of going on the left or right side for pick-up. Also furnished is a top-screw, adjustable parking jack with a swiveling caster wheel. The trailer has three safety chains of 3/8" proof coil chain and are at least 24” to 36” long with chain hooks.
POWER UNIT
The diesel engine is a 4-cylinder John Deere (4045 John Deere/3054 Caterpiller/Cummins B3.3 P) motor. The power unit is mounted on an adjustable structural steel base. The engine has a 12-volt electrical system with a starter and 40-amp alternator. A heavy-duty battery is included. The power unit includes a dry air-cleaner, 40-gallon fuel tank, and muffler. Engine controls consist of a start and stop switch, an alternator warning light, a temperature gauge (automatic, high temperature shutdown), an oil pressure gauge (automatic low-pressure shutdown), and throttle control. All controls are panel mounted. The power unit has a P.T.O. with a 10" Twin Disc clutch. The blower unit is driven from the P.T.O. with one 4/5V common, back belt. The common, back belt is specially reinforced to absorb shock and eliminate the possibility of damage to the clutch or engine.
BLOWER ASSEMBLY
The impeller is statically and dynamically balanced and has an approved blower capacity that is no less than 22,000 CFM. The blower housing is constructed of #7 and #10 gauge material with a 1/4" plate, full wrap-around, replaceable, abrasive-resistant liner, and a structural angle base. Housing has the following minimum dimensions: 47" high, 45" long, 15" wide, 19" intake opening, and a 14" x 16" exhaust opening. The fan assembly consists of six blades of 3/8"steel plate AR400F with a Brinell hardness exceeding 400. The fan is electrically welded to a heavy fabricated steel rotor. The blades have no less than a 30" diameter 12 ½” width. The fan is statically and dynamically balanced and has an approve blower capacity that is not less than 22,000 cubic feet per minute. The fan assembly is mounted on a 2-3/16" diameter shaft running on two, large, sealed, self-aligning, pillow block bearings.
EXHAUST ASSEMBLY
Consists of a discharge elbow of no less than #10 gauge material for the sides, bottom, and top. The inside liner is fabricated from 3/16" material for longer wear. Connected to the discharge elbow is a horizontal duct of no less than #12 gauge material. The discharge opening is a 16" round exhaust duct. The horizontal duct is connected to the discharge elbow with bolts, to form a rigid unit, but can be easily disassembled if necessary. The exhaust assembly is mounted to a pivoting turntable for oscillating, swivel, and horizontal movement. The exhaust assembly also pivots vertically. The provisions for horizontal and vertical movement provide self-alignment between the discharge end of the horizontal duct and the leaf container. The exhaust assembly is counter-balanced so no external or internal support is required during any phase of operation. With the help of a 1.5"x 10" cylinder mounted to the turntable and exhaust tube, the operator is able to stand on the ground for easy alignment of the horizontal exhaust tube and the leaf container. The exhaust tube rests on a support T-bar stand during transport to and from the work site.
UTILITY HOSE
The utility hose has a 16" diameter for maximum suction efficiency and is no less than 10 ft. long. The hose is wire-wound rubber with special, abrasive-resistant lining. For easy operation of the utility hose, an electric over-hydraulic pump activates a hydraulic cylinder of at least 2"x16" and is connected to a tubular boom assembly. The operator’s hand assembly has the “THUMB-TOUCH” control switch to raise or lower the utility hand-hose during operation of the leaf loader. An engine “kill switch bottom” is also located on the operator’s handle.
GENERAL
The DinkMar Inc. Under-Carriage Hose Support system that Provides maximum overhead clearance when operating the suction hose on any DinkMar Inc. Leaf Vacuum Machine.
CONSTRUCTION
The Under Carriage Hose System is designed for heavy-duty use. The Under Carriage Hose System is attached to the Blower Housing by (4) 1/2” diameter bolts for easy attachment and removal. The framework for the Under Carriage Hose System is constructed of 3/8”A36 hot rolled steel plate. The A-frame support construction is electrically welded to form a box arrangement that supports (2) in-line 4-bolt, flange bearings. The bearings support an 11/4” diameter shaft.
The swing arm of the Under Carriage Hose System is attached to the 1 ¼” diameter shaft by a universal joint type connection, which allows free and easy movement of the suction hose in a horizontal plane. A hydraulic cylinder operates vertical movement of the suction hose. A “Thumb Touch” switch located on the operating handle of the suction hose controls this cylinder.
The support for the suction hose is a “cradle” constructed from ¼” rod and is capable of retaining suction hose from 12” to 18” diameter. This cradle is operated by the 1.5” x 16” hydraulic cylinder. The hose is retained in the cradle by a quick acting, 1”nylon ratchet strap clamp.
PAINT
Subassemblies are primed during assembly. The finished machine is painted with an industrial coating. The Cities, Townships, and Villages are invited to inspect and run the machine before it goes to final paint.
LIGHTING
Trailer is equipped with standard Stop, Turn and Parking Lights with a Round Six or Seven Pole Trailer connector. Trailer has reflector at all four corners.
MANUALS
One set of John Deere operator’s manual and the leaf machine’s parts and operator’s manual is included.
WARRANTY
Two years John Deere warranty on the engine and a two years warranty on parts and Labor on DinkMar Leaf Machine.
