SPECIFICATIONS:
GENERAL
The Dinkmar Leaf Tamer is a skid-mounted, direct-drive, leaf vacuum machine. It is designed to mount on a self-propelled vehicle with an integral leaf collection container.
POWER
Power for the Leaf Tamer is provided by a 4-cylinder John Deere motor (4045 John Deere/3054 Caterpiller/Cummins B3.3 P). The power unit is mounted on a structural base. The engine is equipped with a 12 VDC electrical system with a starter, 40-amp alternator, heavy-duty battery, dry air- cleaner, and muffler. Engine controls include a start and stop switch, an alternator warning light, a temperature gauge (automatic, high temperature shutdown), an oil pressure gauge (automatic, low pressure shut down), and throttle control. All controls are panel mounted.
BLOWER ASSEMBLY
The blower housing is constructed of #7 and #10 gauge steel with a ¼” plate, full wrap-around, and replaceable, abrasive-resistant liner. Blower housing dimensions are 47” high, 45” long and 15” wide. The outlet section of the blower housing is 14” x 16”. The blower housing is volute in shape allowing for more efficient movement of air during suction. The suction inlet is mounted to the blower housing by two bolts to provide easy removal of the suction hose assembly. The blower is rated at 22,500 CFM minimum. To facilitate usage, the exhaust section of the blower is rotated 45 degrees toward the direction of the leaf collection container.
SUCTION IMPELLER
The impeller consists of six blades fabricated from 3/8” steel plate, AR400F material with a Brinell hardness exceeding 400. The blades are electrically welded to a heavy-duty hub with a 2.25” bore and are gusseted two places behind each blade. The standard impeller has 30” diameter. All impellers are statically and dynamically balanced for smooth operation.
EXHAUST ASSEMBLY
Due to the variations in vehicles utilizing the Leaf Tamer, design of the exhaust elbow into the leaf container must be customized for each vehicle. The vehicle being used at the time of quotation will determine pricing for the exhaust assembly.
INTAKE HOUSE
The intake hose has 16” diameter and is 10 ft. long. It is attached to the inlet collar by quick acting, strap clamps. The hose is constructed of wire-wound, reinforced urethane for ease of handling and excellent wear resistance. The operator controls the suction end of the hose by a U-shaped handle. Attached to the handle is an “Emergency” engine kill-switch for safety and emergency shutdown of the engine, by the operator.
SKID MOUNT BASE
The base is produce with 3/16” material that has from channel for support the motor. Two 6” x 3” form channel will be welded as mounting bracket and is tie into the cross member for more support. The blower housing mounting bracket will be welded to the base plate and also to the blower housing.
PAINTING
Standard color is equipment yellow or white.

WARRANTY
A two-year warranty covering the leaf vacuum for workmanship and materials is included with the machine.
